He has a passion for all things fly fishing, big woods whitetails, and writing about his many experiences and observations in the outdoors. He is a former board member and current active member of the Pennsylvania Outdoor Writers Association, where he has won numerous Excellence-in-Craft Awards sponsored by the PA Fish & Boat Commission, Trout Unlimited, Ruffed Grouse Society, and many others.

He lives in Coudersport, PA, with his wife Natalie, two kids Sophia and Jude, and two dogs Trapper and Huckleberry Finn.
